The name “Skysquatch” derives from a “leave only footprints” mindset, gathering inspiration from many things from drones, being introverted out in nature, and the beautiful area we grew up in that some claim is “Squatch Country”. There’s more, ask me.

My Name is Derek Conner
I’m a videographer and photographer, and these mediums have been my life for the past 4 years. I was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana. I’m an avid outdoorsman, and if I’m not shooting or editing, you’ll find me on Big Mountain snowboarding stashes with friends, fishing, hunting, hiking, photographing wildlife, and simply learning more about myself and my community through philosophy and art. My love for travel and spontaneity has placed me all over the map, but here in Montana is where my heart lies.
No Distance Is too Far
I wanted to make room for this vision to grow and be shared with the people around me for years to come, so I decided not to promote my name as most photographers do. My dream is for Skysquatch to become something bigger than myself, and to collaborate with the amazing people who surround me in this ever-growing community. I truly believe that the “Sky” is the limit!
